Stegosaurus measures approx. 16cm long x 8cm high, and spinosaurus approx. 20cm long x 8cm high.

Included is a replica tail spike for stegosaurus and a replica tooth for spinosaurus, each approx. 5cm long.

Spinosaurus meaning spined lizard was approximately 18 metres long and 6 metres tall.  This meat eater lived in the Cretaceous period 140-165 million years ago.  The sail like ridge on spinosaurus's back measured up to 2 metres in length.  

Spinosaurus had conical, unserrated shaped teeth very much like present day crocodile.  The long narrow snout had a variety of different sized teeth in both jaws that enabled the animal to hold onto its prey.

Stegosaurus meaning roof lizard was around 9 metres long. This plant eater lived in the late Jurassic period about 154-144 million years ago.

Stegosaurus had four dermal or tail spikes that protruded horizontally from the tail.  These could grow from between 60-90cm in length and would have also have had a sheath of horn.  The dinosaur had limited mobility in its tail but could still use it as a weapon by swivelling its body from the hips.
